Christine Hayes, P.T.

Christine graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.  Since that time, Chris has practiced in a variety of settings to include acute care,  orthopedics, sports medicine, home care and private practice. She opened The Office of Christine F. Hayes, P.T., P.C. in June of 1999 with dual specialities in the areas of orthopedics and oncology. Chris has attended many continuing education courses in orthopedics and oncology, including Myofascial Release, over her 21+ years as a physical therapist. 

Chris is also a graduate of The Barbara Brennan School of Healing, a 4 year internationally renowned healing program. Chris’ extensive training in Brennan Healing Science, an energetic mind body and spiritual approach to healing, compliments her work as a physical therapist. This extensive,  ongoing training allows Chris to offer her patients the unique ability to integrate both a traditional and complementary approach to healing in her physical therapy practice and integrated healing center.

National Recognition for Cancer Rehabilitation

Chris is also very passionate in her work with cancer patients and has developed a comprehensive cancer rehabilitation program to address cancer- related fatigue.  Additionally, The Office of Christine F. Hayes, P.T., P.C. served as The Chester County Satellite for The Wellness Community of Philadelphia from 2000-2004 for Oncology-Related  Workshops  in Meditation, Nutrition, Exercise and Lymphedema Management. Chris’ specialty niche cancer rehabilitation programs gained national recognition in December  2002 as the cover,
“ A New Lease on Life” in the Physical Therapy  Advance Magazine.  

Chris is also currently performing a study with the Main Line Hospitals entitled “ Managing the side-effects of chemotherapy in non-metastatic breast cancer women with Brennan Healing Science”. This study is designed to analyze both the severity of chemotherapy-induced side-effects and the potential for support physically, emotionally, spiritually and psychologically with Brennan Healing Science during this often difficult period.    

Professional Affiliations

Chris is an active member of The Private Practice Section, Orthopedic Section and Oncology Section of The American Physical Therapy Association.  She is also a member of The Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Section of the APTA. 

Holistic Approach to Healing

In June 2007,  Chris opened The Integrated Healing Center located in The Offices of Christine F. Hayes, P.T., P.C. specializing in a Mind, Body and Spirit return to wellness.  Chris designed The Integrated Healing Center to offer a more holistic approach to healing for both physical therapy clients and the general public. 

Our Integrated Healing Center programs include:  massage therapy, craniosacral work, myofascial release,  hot stone therapy,  reflexology, chinese acupuncture and herbology, nutrition, holistic health counseling,  yoga and meditation.
